On Thursday, organizers hosted a wagon train journey to Rogersville for a little pre-publicity for this weekend's event.
Every year, mule enthusiasts from several states come to Ozark for things like daily halter classes, cowboy mounted shooting and the running of the mules.
Sponsors say it's a fun event that also has a competitive edge.
"They like to come in here and enjoy the camaraderie of everybody and show off their mules," says Les Clancy, chairman of the event. "See how high they can jump. It's basically bragging rights for a year."
Mule Days will kick off Friday with a parade at 4 p.m. The event runs through Monday.
