Diamond City, Ark. Man Gets 80 Months for Child Po
BOONE COUNTY, Ark. -- A Diamond City, Arkansas man is sentenced to 80 months without parole for downloading child pornography.
The investigation into Joseph Johnson, 44, began in August 2012. The Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began investigating a user documented as possessing images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct via a peer-to-peer network known to be utilized for the trade and distribution of child pornography.
Conner Eldridge, United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, says the IP address of the computer was determined to be registered to a residence in Diamond City, Arkansas.
The following September, Arkansas State Police executed a search warrant on this residence and seized two computers that were later determined to contain multiple images and videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct on the hard drive.
Johnson admitted to viewing and possessing child pornography images on his computer, and pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in March 2013.
