SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Regal College Station the movie theater in downtown Springfield will have a new owner for the second time in four years.
London-based Cineworld bought out Regal Entertainment Tuesday in a $5.9 billion deal.
The buyout includes all of Regal's movie theaters.
The theater near the square still has the sign, "Hollywood Theaters" from its original owner.
Regal bought the rights to it in 2013.
No word on when the theater will transition to Cineworld's branding.
