President Trump to Speak at Loren Cook in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD Mo. -- The White House Monday issued a notice that President Trump is scheduled to arrive in Springfield Wednesday afternoon.

The president will arrive aboard Air Force One at Springfield-Branson National Airport at 12:55 p.m. This time is an hour earlier than the initial notice of arrival at 1:55 p.m.

He is now scheduled to make remarks at the Loren Cook manufacturing plant, 2015 E. Dale Street,  at 1:30 p.m. The topic is tax reform.

The notice from the White House does not specify if this is a public event.

Loren Cook manufactures fans, blowers, vents and exhaust systems and exports internationally.

Protests of the president's visit are already being organized by Springfield Indivisible and several other groups.

According to a Facebook post, "The People's Protest" has nearly 500 people indicating they plan to take part.
