SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- The Springfield Polo Club and C.A.R.E. (Castaway Animal Rescue Effort) are throwing their 2nd Annual Robin Melton Memorial Polo Match, June 7 at 4 pm.

Gates open at 2:30 pm and will take place at the club’s home field at 5964 S. Highway NN (off of Hwy 60, towards Ozark on NN).

Immediately following the polo match itself, the group will be hosting a dinner and dance that will include a silent and live auction, a live band, and prizes for the best decorated hat or bow tie.

The polo match is to honor the club’s late member Robin Melton, her love of the wonderful world of polo, and also one of her most respected non-for-profits, C.A.R.E.

The proceeds raised through this event will go directly to C.A.R.E. for expenses of caring for rescued animals, and will help to provide for vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and to assure the animals will be adopted with a healthy start in their new homes.

C.A.R.E. will be on site with their mobile adoption center and will be highlighting a few of their animals available for immediate adoption.
