OZARK, Mo.-- The Ozark School District announced Tuesday they have promoted the current executive director of operations Chris Bauman to superintendent starting July 1.
Bauman will replace Kevin Patterson who worked for the district for 32 years.
The announcement was made during a 2 p.m. press conference.
Bauman has been in education for 20 years. He retired from the Army National Guard and started at Ozark in 1999. He has served as a math instructor, coached wrestling and volleyball, and served as principal of Ozark Upper Elementary from 2007-2013.
Bauman was selected out of 25 applicants.
