JOPLIN, MO.--- Clark Griswald may have some competition when it comes to Christmas light decorations.

Paul and Rebecca Moser have been decorating their house in Joplin for the past 15 years. It takes about three days to decorate the outside of the home with several thousand lights. They look forward to it each year and they say so do their neighbors. The couple hears about their display all year round.

The Mosers admit they are Christmas crazy. For the past 15 years they have gone all out decorating their house with lights.
And they say people remember the display all year round.

"Sometimes during summer people will drive by and say how much they like our lights People come by all year. It's nice to make people happy and make people smile."

It takes about three days to get the whole display up.
"He has to go through all the lights to check. He does the tall I do the low. Low lights with batteries. He does the electric."

And it's not Christmas unless Paul takes a few extra volts of electric to the system.
"Yes, I try not to do that when I'm standing on the roof of the house."

Now as if that wasn't enough, wait until you see the inside. Each room has a theme. Their kitchen is decked out in gingerbread men. And every room has a tree.
And even, you guessed it the bathroom.

"That's not normal?"
"Well there's been more elaborate decorations in there. We had little birds watching me. I didn't want to be watched doing my business."

The inside decorations takes about two weeks to get set up. And they say their love of Christmas is contagious..because their neighbors are getting in the spirit.
"We've seen more lights go up because we're here. That block was pretty dark when we first started."

"But I'm sure Empire likes us this month. They really like us in December."
"And you're welcome to check out the lights, they're keeping them up until January 1st and then they'll start taking them down and plan for next year. "

If you would like to check out the house, it's located at 505 South Picher Avenue in Joplin.
