SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Feb.1

Springfield police say that at approximately 8:45 pm on Feb. 1 a man was shot in the chest near the McDonald's Restaurant at 2220 N. Glenstone in Springfield.

Police responded to the restaurant after employees there called stating that a man ran into their store saying he had been shot.

The 34 year-old male victim ran into the store after being shot in chest near the location and subsequently was taken to the hospital.

Police describe the injuries as non-life threatening and the condition of the man at this point remains unknown.

Police officials say that they followed blood foot prints back from the scene to the Flagship Hotel also located on N. Glenstone.

The police investigators say they are currently following up on leads from the hotel and other evidence from the crime but the investigation has been difficult due to a non-cooperative victim.

A man and woman were questioned at the Flagship Hotel and one was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.

It is unknown at this time if the two are related to the crime.
