GREENE COUNTY, Mo. -- One man is in custody after a standoff in Greene County Thursday night.

Greene County Deputies surrounded a home in the 2000 block of West Farm Road 96, that's just north of Springfield.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies went to the home to assist the U.S. Marshals and the Springfield Police Department with arresting a person with multiple outstanding warrants.

The sheriff's office says the man ran into the home and refused to come out. The Greene County SWAT Team was called in, and after several hours the man was taken into custody.

According to the sheriff, the investigation is ongoing, but several stolen vehicles were found at that location.
