Oklahoma Senator Turns Himself in on Three Felony Charges

OKLAHOMA - Senator Shortey refused to comment as he turned himself in at the Cleveland County Jail to be booked on three felony charges. Engaging in child prostitution; engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church and transporting a minor for prostitution.

Court records show Moore Police began investigating Shortey last week when he was found in a hotel room with a teenage boy. The 17-year-old boy's father called police believing his son was in the room possibly doing drugs or prostituting himself.

According to a police affidavit, officers found the teen’s kindle which has a conversation, they believe, between the teen and Shortey. We can't repeat much of it on tv, but the teen agrees to have sex to get money for spring break.

Police say he wrote, they believe to Shortey, quote "hey keep updated cause I want you bad daddy.” Police believe Shortey replied, quote, "I'm going to (expletive) you like a good little boy if you keep calling me daddy."

Shortey is free this evening on $100,000 bond.
