GALENA, Kan.-- More than two dozen international visitors are touring The Mother Road and stopping in the Ozarks.

30 Norwegians who are enthusiasts of Route 66, are on a 17 day trip. They started in Chicago and are traveling to Los Angeles. Their most recent stop was in Galena, Kansas near Joplin, where they had a chance to talk to the locals and see Tow Mater from the movie "Cars."

For many of the visitors, the trip has been a lifelong dream.

"For me personally, it has been kind of a boys dream and finally it's coming true. So I'm thrilled," said Erik Haehie, from Norway.

The Norwegians will arrive in Los Angeles on August 8th.
