SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Governor Jay Nixon will visit the Greene County Public Safety Center Monday for a round table discussion the impact of special breaks and exemptions vetoed by the governor in June.

Gov. Jay Nixon will visit the Greene County Public Safety Center August 4 for a round table discussion with local officials and first responders about the impact of special tax breaks and exemptions passed by the General Assembly in the final hours of the legislative session and vetoed by the Governor in June.

This legislation would impact sales tax collections

The Governor states that these tax breaks would significantly reduce local tax revenues that support police, fire, ambulance, emergency services, parks and other public services provided at the local level.

The discussion will take place at the Greene County Public Safety Center at 330 W. Scott Street at 1:30 pm.
