SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Parts of the Nixa Junior High School were town down Monday.
The demolition took down a section of the school that was built in the 1960’s.
The work is the beginning of a renovation of the school. Monday’s demolition also marks the beginning of the 2014 bond issued construction projects.
Zac Rantz, The Chief Communications Officer for Nixa Public Schools says the demolition makes way for a new start, “It starts over a year long process of renovating the Junior High and getting it ready for our students to have a bigger school and have a lot more area to be educated in.”
Nixa students will still attend school during the construction phase.
