SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Monday afternoon, the Springfield Police Department released the names of the people involved in a morning fatal crash involving three vehicles.
Police say 57-year-old Robert Pinkley of Marshfield died, after colliding head-on with two other vehicles on U.S. 65 near the James River Freeway interchange. Police say Pinkley was driving his yellow GMC Canyon southbound in the northbound lanes a little after 8 a.m.
One of the other drivers, 42-year-old Kimberly Steinberg of Cape Fair, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The third driver, 37-year-old Kim Roberts of Ozark, was not hurt.
Police say Pinkley's next of kin has been notified, and the investigation is ongoing.
