Andy Roddick brought his brand new Austin Aces to Mediacom stadium court to face James Blake and the Springfield Lasers in world team tennis.
Roddick played for Springfield last season before buying his own team.
Blake helped the Lasers win their second straight match Saturday night.
And it was men’s doubles right out of the shoot; Roddick and Treat Huey against Blake and Michael Russell. Roddick and Huey win the net game here and take the opening event 5-3.
But Springfield rallied in the second. Women’s singles, Olga Go-Vortsova beats Vera Zvona-Reva 5-1.
The headline event was James Blake against Andy Roddick in men’s singles and Roddick wins that 5-3.
That evened the match at 11 points apiece at halftime.
Springfield took the last two events women’s doubles and mixed doubles and beat Andy Roddick's aces 21-13.
