Winter Weather Advisory for Southwest Missouri

A Winter Weather advisory is posted for this afternoon and tonight for southwest Missouri.  It is in effect from noon Monday to 3am Tuesday.

Minor snow accumulations are expected Monday afternoon and tonight for areas roughly along and south of a line from Columbus, Kansas to Rolla, Missouri.

Snow accumulations range from a dusting up to two inches.

Snow will exit the eastern Ozarks around midnight or shortly after. This snow will occur in response to the approach of an upper level disturbance.

Counties covered by this advisory include:
Pulaski-Phelps-Polk-Dallas-Laclede-Texas-Dent-Jasper-Dade-Greene-Webster-Wright-Newton-Lawrence-Christian-Douglas-Howell-Shannon-McDonald-Barry-Stone-Taney-Ozark-and Oregon counties


This will mainly impact travel conditions late this afternoon and into the overnight hours.
