Moms Gather to Raise Money for Schools and Hospitals in Guatemala

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Mothers are thinking about others today, May 11 at the Moms and Mimosas event to benefit charities in Guatemala.

Moms are gather Sunday, May 11 at Millie’s Café to raise money for HOLA Sertoma.

The brunch will feature live music, drinks, and a complimentary flower for each Mother in attendance.

Proceeds from the event will go to benefit HOLA Sertoma charities, including school sand hospitals in Santiago, Lake Atitlan Guatemala.

HOLA Sertoma was formed in May 2005 by a group of men and women in Springfield to support the medical needs in remote areas of Latin America.

Recently, the group has expanded our assistance to include educational programs.

Current efforts have focused on the hospital and schools in an impoverished Mayan community in the Guatemalan Highlands called Santiago/Lake Atitlan.
