The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released state-by-state enrollment numbers Thursday. More than 8 million people nationwide have signed up under the Affordable Care Act.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says 2.2 million (28 percent) of those who selected a Marketplace plan were young adults ages 18 to 34, considered a key age group to keep the healthcare law financially viable.

The group Missouri Health Care for All applauded Missouri's numbers but says there are hundreds of thousands of Missourians who still lack access to health coverage because the state hasn’t expanded Medicaid.
