TANEY COUNTY, Mo. – The body of a Hollister man missing since July 19 was recovered near the Emerald Point area of Table Rock Lake Monday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the body of Nicholas R. Young, 25, of Hollister was recovered from the lake at 10:46 a.m.

Sergeant Jason M. Pace with the Highway Patrol says Young reportedly fell overboard after attempting to step from one boat to another on July 19.

Young swam to the boat, but fell back in the water as he attempted to climb on board and disappeared.

Young’s body was taken by Taney County Coroner Kevin Tweedy to Springfield to determine the official cause of death.
