Matthew 25 Ministries Brings Tide Loads of Hope for Area Residents

WEST PLAINS, Mo.--Matthew 25 Ministries and Proctor and Gamble are in the city of West Plains to provide Loads of Hope to area residents.

Tide’s Loads of Hope effort will be doing laundry for anyone affected by the flood Thursday and Friday, May 11-12, from 9 am to 5 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 503 W. Main Street.

Residents may come by and drop off no more than 2 loads per household and the volunteers will wash and dry the clothing with a 24-hour turnover time. The team will do up to 100 loads per day.

City officials say Loads of Hope and Matthew 25 Ministries, which assists disaster victims throughout the United States, are also handing out personal care kits, courtesy of Proctor and Gamble.

The First United Methodist Church also has over 200 flood disaster relief buckets available to anyone who needs one. Citizens can pick up buckets Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm at the church.

For questions, call the church at 417-256-6167.
