CARTHAGE, Mo. -- Christmas is Wednesday and area grade school students are giving their opinions on what is hot.

Joplin's KODE visited Mark Twain Elementary School in Carthage. Many students say the XBox One and PS4 are the hot toys for third graders.

They also want iPhones and Tablets. Students recommend that dads not give moms vacuums or cleaning supplies, unless you want to be in the dog house.

"I don't think you should give her pots and pans because that makes her feel like she does all the work," says Shasta Moudy, a 3rd Grader.

They also say it's not cool to give underwear and socks to kids.
