Manager: Burglarized Airport Loss May Total Tens of Thousands of Dollars

AURORA, Mo. -- Nine hangars at the airport in Aurora were burglarized.

According to the police chief, someone broke into the hangars and stole aviation equipment.

Right now, the airport manager is going through logs of equipment and says the loss will total tens of thousands of dollars.

More than 20 aircraft were targeted.

The manager says he believes the thief or thieves forced their way into the hangars between 10 p.m.-3 a.m.  There are no surveillance cameras on site.

Officers have no suspects at this time.
