GREENFIELD, Mo. -- Deputies and the Highway Patrol are searching for a man who stole a Dade County Sheriff's patrol car Sunday.

It happened around 10:30 am near the intersection of Highway 39 and 160.

Deputies gave chase after the stolen patrol car, but the thief crashed into two other cars, setting the patrol car on fire.  He jumped out and fled on foot.  Injuries to the two people in the crash were not seriously hurt, deputies said.

Dade County Sheriff Max Huffman has not yet released information about how the man was able to steal the patrol car.
