CARROLL COUNTY, Ark. -- The body of a man has been recovered from a house fire early Thursday near Berryville, Arkansas.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Department says four people were in the house on Highway 62, but one did not make it to safey. He is identified as Larry Dennis Hensley, 71.
Authorities say the fire was reported by a passerby about 2:30 a.m. Thursday. When fire crews got there, they found Hensley dead inside.
Ambulance crews took the three surviving people to area hospitals, where they are in undetermined condition.
The cause and manner of Hensley's death will be determined by the Arkansas State Medical Examiner. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
