Man Charged with Firing Shots into Woman's Car

LEBANON, Mo. -- A man from Lebanon is jailed after prosecutors charged him with firing a gun into a car in a dispute over a drug deal.

Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap says Joshua Michael Mazelin, 30 is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and shooting a firearm at or from a vehicle.

Millsap says Mazelin fired at least two rounds from a gun into a motor vehicle occupied by a 38- year woman. The rounds struck the front windshield of her vehicle but she was not injured.   The incident happened Monday, August 14.

"The investigation is on-going, but we know the shooting is tied to a drug deal and an issue of who owed money to whom," Millsap said in a news release.

Millsap also said two search warrants related to the shooting were served Tuesday, and that man from Long Lane, Missouri was arrested on drug charges during one of the searches.
