Man Charged with Assault, Sodomy After Allegedly Stabbing Two Women

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo. -- A 23-year-old man was charged with assault and sodomy after allegedly stabbing two women in Douglas County, according to a news release from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Jeremy Delk, of Mountain Grove, faces two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree sodomy.

According to the sheriff's office, the call came in at 6:22 a.m. Friday about a double stabbing south of Mountain Grove near AE Highway.

Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase and Wright County Sheriff Glenn Adler arrested Delk from underneath a porch at a home in the area.

Delk is being held in the Douglas County Jail, facing a $50,000 cash-only bond,

The women he stabbed were treated and released from a Springfield hospital.
