Man Charged with Assault After Cutting Brother with Box Cutter

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- A physical argument resulted with a man in the hospital after being assaulted with a box cutter.

According to a report from Lt. Todd Revell, police responded to the 400 block of North West Ave. in the early morning hours of August 2 after receiving reports of an altercation.

A physical altercation between two male siblings, ages 28 and 26, had moved from indoors into the street.

The 26 –year-old reportedly used a box cutter to cut the throat of his brother.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled police and was caught after an on-foot pursuit.

The man perpetrator booked into the Greene-County jail for 1st Degree Assault.
