EXETER, Mo.-- A Missouri lottery winner plans to use the money to help pay for her sister's cancer treatment.

Charlotte Jones of Exeter, Mo., won $50,000 on a "Lucky 7s Playbook" scratcher.  Jones bought the ticket at Casey's General Store on S. Main Street in Cassville.

Jones' sister, Janis, has been fighting cancer for 14 years.  After two rounds of treatment, it recently resurfaced, requiring trips to Springfield for radiation.  Charlotte Jones said she will use some of the money to help her sister.

In a lottery news release, Charlotte Jones said, “We didn’t believe it at first.  We both just kind of looked at each other.  She looked at me and said, ‘I’ve got to find out if this is real or not.’ This is going to help out amazingly so.”
