SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- In honor of Good Friday three people held crosses on the side on Highway 65 in Springfield.

The crosses stood ten feet tall, five feet wide, and are made out of plastic pvc pipes.

The group stood a quarter a mile apart from each other.

One of the cross holders is from Lebanon, Mo. and said he does it to send a simple message.

"This is a way to keep the message simple, to wave and say Jesus loves you and let the spirit of god do the work."

This group of cross holders just started coming into Springfield with their message and were out for four hours April 18.
