Kayak and Paddle Boat Skills and Safety Taught on the James River

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- People of all ages are invited to learn kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding skills on the James River, August 2.

The course will be from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Lake Springfield Southwood Access.

The Springfield-Greene County park board outdoor initiatives program is offering a variety of nature based programs throughout the summer for families.

Participants will learn how to float on their own and other basic skills.

The fee for this course is $5
