Jesus Was Homeless Hosts Grand Opening Celebration

BRANSON, Mo. - Jesus Was Homeless hosts the official grand opening celebration for its new facility in Branson.

Towards the beginning of 2016, Jesus Was Homeless broke ground at the site of a former Branson theatre with a vision of a larger facility with room to expand and serve. Now, approximately a year and a half later, that vision has become a reality.

"Well, honestly, I'm still in disbelief," says Executive Director Bryan Stallings.  "I mean, we've been in the building now about eight weeks. And it's still just like a fairy tale, almost.  It just shows how great God is."

With this new 17,000 square foot building, Stallings says they can better serve the community through a number of new services.

"One of the first things we've done is open our thrift store.  But, it's a little unique. It's more like a boutique shopping experience. The real caveat to the thrift store is that if you don't have money to purchase items, you can come volunteer and earn reward points and then use that to purchase items."

The larger facility, located at 310 Gretna Road in Branson, also makes it easier to prepare and assemble the 1400 meals delivered each week to people living in extended stay motels and provides additional space for its ever growing Jobs for Life program.
