Isabel's House Opens Doors for Community Tour Day

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Isabel's House, the Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, is hosting a Community Tour Day on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2750 W. Bennett.

The event is open to the community and free of charge. Free food with also be provided while supplies last. Games, raffles and tours of Isabel’s House are also offered.

Family Advocates will be available to talk with families and community members about Isabel's House services and referrals

Isabel's House, founded by the Junior League of Springfield, provides temporary residential care for children ages birth through 12-years-old during a crisis situation. The free safe-haven is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Isabel's House is devoted to our mission of preventing child abuse and neglect. We are honored to have cared for over 2600 children since 2007, keeping them safe while their parents are experiencing crisis" said Andrea Vent, executive director, in a news statement. "April is a month where we can focus on prevention while educating the community and supporting children and families. Ultimately preventing child abuse and keeping families together."
