Infant Rescued from Springfield Apartment Fire

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Firefighters battled an apartment fire Wednesday afternoon in northwest Springfield.

Authorities responded to the John B Hughes apartment complex at 2100 North Clifton Ave at 1:38 p.m to the report of a building fire, according to Ozarkstraffic.

One neighbor KOLR10 talked with said she saw smoke in one of the buildings and residents busting out the windows from the outside.

 

 

The Springfield Fire Department was able to confirm that maintenance crews rescued an infant before the department had arrived.

Everyone evacuated safely.

 

 

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
