CONWAY, Mo. -- More heavy rainfall causes flooding in another Ozarks community.  This time, overnight rainfall in Laclede County send flood waters into about 10 homes in Conway, Missouri.

The county's emergency management director says flooding along Highway J closed the highway near Morgan, Missouri  and spread into homes in Conway.  At least one water rescue was necessary around 2:30 am.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood emergency for about two hours, until the rain let up around 4:30 Saturday morning.

At one point around 2:45am, area fire department and rescue crews reported about three feet of water over Interstate 44 near the 112 mile marker.  The flood waters had receded by 4:30.

Flash Flood Warnings were issued for  Douglas, Ozark, Howell, Oregon, Shannon and Texas counties until 8am.

Campers along the Eleven Point and Jacks Fork rivers were warned to seek higher ground immediately because of a rapid rise in water levels.

A Flash Flood Warning is still in effect until 10:30 am for a number of counties in northern and central Arkansas, including these in the KOLR10 viewing area:
Boone, Marion, Newton, Baxter, Fulton, Izard, Van Buren and Searcy.
