The house will be closed for tours while a new cedar shake roof is installed.
The work is set to begin July 7 and continue for two to three weeks.
Constructed in the early 1850s, the Ray House was occupied by farmer John Ray and his family during the battle. After the battle, the house was used as a temporary hospital for the treatment of wounded soldiers.
The Edwards Cabin will also be closed for the same kind of work following the Ray House.
