High Winds Topple Train Off Tracks in Kansas

MCPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. -- A thunderstorm with 80 to 90 mile-an-hour winds knocked a train off the tracks Wednesday in central Kansas.

This is a look at the scene in McPherson County north of Wichita.

Sheriff's officials say 33 train cars derailed when the storm moved through.

The winds also damaged homes and downed power lines leaving several hundred residents without electricity.
