Vaccines are available (first dose only) to children 11-18 years old and college students 19-26 years old between now (July 28) and August 31, 2014.
According to the Webster County Heath Unit, “the Health Unit is required to screen for VFC eligibility (on Medicaid, Uninsured, Underinsured, American Indian, or Native Alaskan); however, anyone with insurance that is within these age groups will be able to receive these vaccines.”
Anyone within the age groups interested in receiving any or all of the vaccines is asked to come to the Marshfield office Mon.-Fri., 7:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., or the Seymour office on Thursdays from 9-12:30 p.m. and 2-4:40 p.m.
For additional information, call 417-859-2532.
According to a news statement, the vaccines have become available after additional funding provided to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ Bureau of Immunization Assessment and Assurance.
