Researchers in Ohio took a look at urine samples from two dozen volunteers.
The found higher levels of BPA in people who repeatedly handled receipts printed on thermal paper …without using gloves.
People are generally exposed to BPA from plastic bottles and canned goods.
A new government study finds obesity rates are still high in the US.. but they are improving for preschoolers.
Researchers weighed and measured more than 9,000 people from 2011 to 2012.
They found about one third of adults and 17 percent of children and teens are obese.
But for children ages 2 to 5, obesity rates dropped 6 percent.
And a possible link between a nurse’s workload and education …and a patient’s survival after surgery.
Researchers examined more than 400,000 medical records of patients in Europe over 50 who underwent common procedures.
They found patients were more likely to die within 30 days in hospitals where nurses had heavier workloads and fewer bachelor’s degrees.
