Patients with advanced cancer may benefit from treatments that not only control their symptoms, but also provide exercise and nutritional counseling. Programs for =early= stage cancer usually do include those services - now researchers in Canada are suggesting a similar approach for more advanced cases. The study finds that diet and exercise can improve patients' fatigue and physical endurance, as well as mood and quality of life.
Lacrosse is becoming more popular in high schools, but it's also leading to more injuries. Researchers say more than 170-thousand students now play the sport. Over a four year period, those athletes experienced about 1400 injuries. 22-percent of them were concussions. A study in The American Journal of Sports Medicine calls on high schools to strictly enforce rules on the field to try to limit injuries.
