Ground Broken for New Fair Grove Fire Station

FAIR GROVE, Mo. -- Work is beginning to build a new main fire department headquarters for the Fair Grove Fire Protection District in northeast Greene County.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday.  The station is being built at 340 Eagle Ridge Court behind the MFA in Fair Grove.   It will replace the current headquarters building on Old Highway 65.    Fire Chief Erich Higgins says construction should be done around July, 2018.

The new main station will house 6 apparatus and paid staff and serve district's 92 square mile territory.  The department also has two other fire stations in the northern and southern portion of the district.
