SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Gov. Nixon will be in Springfield Monday, May 5 to discuss Senate Bill 509.

Nixon will be at Commerce Bank in Springfield to talk about his belief that Senate Bill 509 would jeopardize Missouri’s credit rating and increase costs for local communities.

Senate Bill 509 is a proposed broad tax cut that would affect Missourians.

Nixon has vetoed the Senate Bill but it is expected that legislature will work to overturn the decision based on support for the bill.

Nixon will be at Commerce Bank at 1345 E. Battlefield in Springfield at 2:15 pm.
