Trap shooting is where you take a shot gun and you shoot at clay targets that are being thrown at different angles to see how much you break.
Of the three, it's usually for beginners.
The Branson Trap Shooting Team is a team of now 50-plus junior high and high schoolers.
They practice twice a week at Ozarks Shooters Complex in Walnut Shade for two hours after school every week.
The team has been around for the last 20 years in Branson. They're passionate, they love to shoot, they're humble and they're champions.
The team has won national titles and trophies. The girls are even current state champions.
For your first time, Coach Mark McSpadden recommends lessons from an expert.
He says a good coach will teach you the stance, how to hold a gun, safety of using a shotgun and how to shoot a target.
To get started, you need safety glasses, earplugs, a shotgun, shells and a carry bag.
Once you have that, it's go time.
If you're interested in trap shooting, there are several venues to check out across the Ozarks.
At Ozarks Shooters Complex, it costs $5 for the basic, and goes up from there.
Street clothes are fine and close-toed shoes are recommended.
The Trap Shooting Team is also super excited that it will soon go from being a club activity to being considered a sport.
