MANCHESTER, Mo. -- Flags are flying at half staff around Missouri today, in honor of a soldier from Hillsboro, who was killed in Afghanistan.

20-year-old Private First Class Matthew Walker, 20, was killed when his unit was attached by enemy fire last week in Paktika province.

Walker was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell Kentucky.

Walker's body arrived in west St. Louis County Saturday.

His funeral will be held this morning (Monday, June 16) at Manchester United Methodist Church.
