FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- It may be winter, but it feels like spring in Pigmint Flower Shop, and they're getting ready for a busy Valentine's Day.

It's the biggest and busiest time of year for florists.

"Flowers are beautiful and romantic and kind of symbolize everything that this holiday is about," Chelsea Hermez, the co-owner of Pigmint says.

Pigmint Flowers and Gifts in Fayetteville is celebrating its first year in business.

"Fayetteville is such a wonderful community to start a small business in. We're just really having a good time and creating a beautiful product and people have responded well to that," she said.

Recently, winter weather has put a freeze on some seasonal sales.

"Not only sales in the shop but also logistics of getting our flowers here. They ship in from all over the world and getting them here safely has been a challenge."

Now deliveries are en route and employees in place as orders start to come in.

"We are well stocked and well staffed for Valentine's but the best thing to do on a crazy day like this is to order ahead."

So whether you like your roses red, or your flowers blue, florists are just there waiting for you.

"We're hoping for a crazy, fun, beautiful filled Valentine's Day!"
