If you're keeping on top of the markets this morning,  Monday, August 4,  2014....

The Nikkei is down 49 points today in trading in Tokyo.
The Dow fell nearly 70 points Friday.
The Nasdaq dropped 17.

Friday's jobs report showed that employers added 209,000 jobs in July. Some economists were expecting those numbers to be a bit higher.

U.S auto sales growth slowed a little in July.
But most manufacturers reported gains Friday.
Chrysler jumped 20 percent.
It's the automaker's best month in nine years!
Ford saw a 10 percent sales boost - helped by strong demand for SUV's.
And General Motors saw its best July in seven years despite recent recalls.

The Better Business Bureau has a new scam alert.
Clicking on a link inside a text message, stating you've won a free gift card could lead to unwanted charges.
The BBB says if you receive a suspicious text message, delete it.
Officials say the scam is so prevalent, the Federal Trade Commission got involved and shut down six providers.
