(Republic, MO) -- Did you get a laptop or a PC for Christmas? If so, you likely had a few questions about how to install, personalize, or simply use the devices.
Chuck Zink with PC Solutions (267 Highway 60 West) in Republic offers a few tips!
"A good paid anti-virus," says Zink. "I prefer NOD32. That is a good, solid all-around protection that doesn't slow your computer down."
Zink says if you're updating to a new computer, it's not too difficult to move over your old files.
"You can use an external hard drive, which a lot of us can pick up just about anywhere. Or a flash drive if you don't have a ton of files, but you have to be careful because once again, if you have a virus issue and you plug a flash drive or hard drive into an old computer with viruses, they can be transferred to the new one."
