If you're keeping on top of the markets this morning,  Wednesday, August 6,  2014....

The Nikkei dropped 161 points today in trading in Japan.
The Dow lost nearly 140 points.
The Nasdaq fell 31.

21st Century Fox announced that it is withdrawing its bid to buy Time Warner. Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch said, "Time Warner management and it's board refused to engage with us to explore an offer which was highly compelling."

Credit card comparison website, cardhub is out with a new study about your credit cards.
The study evaluated how transparent the top 10 issuers are, when it comes to displaying important prodcut information on their websites.
Capital One scored a perfect 100 for having the clearest credit card online applications.Citi came in at number two. Barclays credit card came in last.

It's the first step toward more global email.
G-mail will now recognize addresses that contain accented or non-Latin characters.
Just last month Google announced the addition of 13 new languages in Gmail.

Apple will reportedly host an event for its latest smartphone.
A published  report says, the company could  release more details about a new iPhone on September 9th. A spokesperson from Apple declined to comment.
