The Nikkei is up almost 14 points today in Tokyo.
The Dow gained almost 30 points Tuesday.
The Nasdaq added 13.

Investors will wait to see if they can extend gains made yesterday. Strong economic and consumer confidence data helped drive the markets up. The S&P closed  above the milestone 2,000 mark.

The world largest airline is pulling its flight listings from Orbitz in a contract dispute.  American Airlines says listings have already been dropped from the travel website and U.S. Airways, will follow on September 1.  Travelers who already have tickets through Orbitz or sister site,, will still be able to travel - but any changes will have to be made through the airlines directly.

Turner Broadcasting is offering voluntary buyouts to 600 U.S.-based employees who are more than 55-years old. The move comes in a cost cutting effort at the Atlanta based company. Some 9,000 of Turner's 13,000 employees are based in the U.S. Turner is a subsidiary of Time Warner -  it's holdings include CNN, the Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies.
