The Nikkei dropped 58 points today in Japan.
The U.S. markets were closed Friday for the holiday.
On Wall Street Thursday, the Dow was up 92 points
And the Nasdaq rose 28.

Wall Street investors will look to keep the momentum going when they return from the holiday weekend. 
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opens in record territory after breaking the 17,000 mark for the first time.

The General Motors CEO is preparing to go before lawmakers again.
The U.S. Senate subcommittee that's investigating GM's ignition switch recalls, plans to hold a second hearing next week.  A spokesman for GM says Mary Barra looks forward to updating Senators about changes the company has made to keep drivers safe.

And a ride inspired by the Disney movie "Ratatouille" opens later this week at Disneyland Paris. The 2007 animated film is about a rat named Remy who happens to be  a gifted french chef. The attraction gives thrill-seekers a rat's eye view of Remy's world.
