The Nikkei is up 173 points today in Tokyo.
Wednesday, the Dow slipped 3.
The Nasdaq was flat.

New home sales plunged 8.1-percent last month, according to the Labor Department.
Amazon reported a larger than expected loss in the second quarter.

Delta, United Airlines and US Airways have all resumed service to Tel Aviv.
Rockets fired from the Gaza Strip that hit near Israel's main airport caused  the FAA to ban U.S. service to that area.
That ban has now been lifted.

Airplane maker bombardier plans to cut 1,800 jobs.
About 1,700 employees and contractors at facilities in the U.S. and Canada will be affected, including more than 500 in Wichita, Kansas.
A spokeswoman for the company says production related jobs are not apart of the layoffs, expected to happen before next year.
